explore howden minster and charming local eateries
During my stay, I enjoyed the beautiful Howden Minster, which is just a few minutes away, alongside delightful local dining options like the cozy Bishop's Bar and Bistro for a lovely meal. it's a perfect spot for weekend strolls and discovering the best of this charming town.

the staff are super welcoming n really helpful. even tho it was quiz night n they weren't servin food, there’s loads of places to grab a bite nearby. loved the breakfast, had plenty of options n it started early for us. the car park was a good size too, big plus! my room was basic but clean and comfy for a quick stay.
but the stairs to get to the rooms were kinda steep n not great for anyone with mobility issues. also, the bathrooms were across the corridor which was a bit odd.

great stay but minor issues
The room had a comfortable bed, making it easy to rest after a long day of cycling. The breakfast offered was not only tasty but also substantial, providing the perfect fuel for my next ride.
The overall noise level from outside could be bothersome at times.

Couple seeking comfort and fun
I had a delightful experience when the landlord offered us a drink as we waited for our taxi. The breakfast was a solid start to the day, with generous portions that set us up right for the busy hours ahead.
Now it wasn't exactly cheap, but still reasonable given the experience.

missingWrote a review on 28 Jancomfortable seatingoutdoor areaoverpriced room
Comfortable seating by the window offered a nice atmosphere while enjoying a drink and food. The outer beer garden featured ample seating under parasols, perfect for a relaxed outdoor experience.
The room we stayed in felt overpriced given its condition. the bathroom had peeling paint and the window showed noticeable cracks. Wi-Fi proved unreliable on the second floor, and the shower functioned poorly during our first morning. Breakfast options were quite limited, and the steep stairs might challenge those with mobility issues.

The Deluxe Double Room was clean and had a modern vibe. Shower was huge and hot. I loved being able to crack a window for fresh air. The view of the minster was a nice touch, but the stairs were super steep—definitely not for the faint-hearted! The room was warm and cozy, but the quirky floor was a bit odd. comfy and characterful, just like the place itself.
